Storm Damage Roof Repair in Brookhaven

We find what the storm did, take a picture of every hit and fix it, with the photos ready for your claim.

Damage You Cannot See From the Driveway

Hail does not always leave holes. Most of the time it leaves bruises: soft spots where the granules got knocked loose and the mat underneath cracked. From the ground the roof looks fine. Two summers later the bruises are leaks. Wind works differently. It lifts shingle tabs, breaks the seal strip and sometimes lays them back down so neatly you would never guess. The next big gust takes them off. That is why a storm inspection is done on the roof, not from a ladder at the gutter. We walk each slope, mark hail strikes with chalk, count them inside a test square and photograph them next to a scale. We check vents, pipe boots, ridge cap, drip edge and gutters for dents and splits. Fallen limbs are less common, but when one comes down we look at the decking under the impact too. When we are done you get a photo set organized by slope and a plain answer: minor repair, larger repair or full replacement. If it is a claim, those photos go in your file and we take it from there with your adjuster.

What a Storm Check Looks At

Hail and wind hit different parts of the roof. We check all of them.

  • Hail strikes on shingles

Bruises and cracks marked, counted in a test square and photographed with a scale.

  • Wind-lifted tabs

Seal strips tested by hand to find shingles that let go and settled back down.

  • Missing or creased shingles

Bare spots and fold lines found and logged by slope.

  • Soft metals

Dents on vents, flashing, drip edge and gutters, which show hail size and direction.

  • Limb impacts

Less common, but checked for cracked decking and punctures when a branch came down.

  • Attic and ceiling signs

Fresh stains or daylight that point to openings in the roof.

From Storm to Fixed Roof

  1. Inspection on the roof

Every slope walked, every hit photographed and logged.

Pictures in hand, you hear plainly whether it is a repair, a new roof or a claim worth filing.

  3. Claim support or quote

For a claim we meet your adjuster on the roof. For out-of-pocket work you get an itemized quote.

  4. Repair or replace

If the damage is light, we tell you. Not every storm calls for a claim.

  • One crew start to finish

The people who inspected your roof are the people who fix it.

Storm Just Passed Through?

Hail damage gets harder to tie to a specific storm as time goes by. Get the roof looked at while the marks are fresh.
