We walk the slopes beside the adjuster and point to each damaged area.

The same contact from the first look to the last nail sweep.

Roof Work We Handle, Storm Damage First

Most calls start the same way. A storm rolls through, a neighbor's roofer is up a ladder, and you wonder what yours looks like. We start with the roof, the photos and the facts. Then we tell you what the job is.

Four Steps, No Guesswork

  1. You call, we set a time

Tell us what you saw or heard: a drip, a shingle in the yard, hail on the deck. We pick a daylight slot for the inspection that works for you.

  2. We climb, look and photograph

Every slope, every flashing line, every vent and the attic. Each problem gets a photo and a note. We go over the pictures with you on the ground, not in jargon.

  3. Quote and claim paperwork

You get an itemized quote. If storm damage is behind it, we organize the photos for your insurance file, climb up with the adjuster and file supplements for anything missed.

  4. Build day and cleanup

Tear-off, deck check, underlayment, flashing, vents and shingles installed to spec. Then debris hauled off, a magnet run across the lawn and driveway, and a final walk with you.

Why Homeowners Hand Us the Ladder

A storm claim lives or dies on proof. A roof job lives or dies on follow-through. We built the way we work around both.

  • Proof you can see

Every finding gets photographed and tied to the slope where it sits. You see the same thing we see from up top, and so does your insurance company. No hand-waving, no 'trust me, it is bad up there.'

  • Claim help that stays in its lane

We document the storm damage, stand on the roof with your adjuster and send supplements when line items get missed. You own the claim and make the calls. We bring the evidence.

  • A quote that reads clearly

Materials, quantities, labor and how any rotted decking gets priced, all written out before work starts. If the scope changes, you hear about it before it happens.

  • Calls that get returned

One contact for the whole job. A confirmed start date. Updates from tear-off to the final walk. You will not be chasing anyone for an answer.

Brookhaven and the North DeKalb Neighborhoods Around It

Brookhaven roofs come in every shape. Mid-century ranches in Ashford Park, tall two-stories on the newer infill lots, and older homes in Historic Brookhaven shaded by big oaks and pines. Peachtree Road carries us through the middle of town, I-285 runs along the north side and I-85 sits to the south, so DeKalb County neighbors in Chamblee, Doraville, North Druid Hills and Decatur are a short drive. Spring and summer thunderstorms bring hail, high wind and falling limbs to all of them, and the inspection is the same wherever you live.

Old roofs and new ones

A ranch with three layers of history and a five-bedroom build from a few years back both get the same slope-by-slope photo check.

Trees overhead

Mature canopy means limbs, needles and clogged gutters. We look at what the branches did, not just what the hail did.

One line for every town

Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Clarkston or Avondale Estates, (404) 737-0942 gets the same crew and the same paperwork.

Straight Answers to Common Roof Questions

The questions we hear on the driveway most weeks, answered short.

How can I tell if wind hurt my roof?

Look for shingles that are missing, flipped up or creased across the top, and for strips of exposed underlayment or bare deck. Lifted tabs often break their seal even when they lie back down, so damage can hide in plain sight. Bent drip edge and loose ridge cap are other giveaways. An up-close inspection with photos is the only sure way to know.

Why does attic airflow matter for my roof and its warranty?

Trapped heat and moisture bake shingles from underneath and can rot the deck, which shortens roof life. Balanced intake and exhaust vents let the attic breathe. Shingle warranty terms generally expect proper ventilation, so we check it on every replacement and correct it as part of the job.

Repair or full replacement: how do I know which one I need?

It comes down to how widespread the damage is and how much life the roof has left. A few loose shingles or one bad pipe boot on a sound roof is a repair. Damage across several slopes, soft decking or a roof near the end of its run points to replacement. We show you the photos and tell you which one makes sense.

What if the adjuster misses damage or turns down my claim?

Missed items can be added through a supplement backed by photos and measurements, and we send those in for you. A denial is not always the last word: your insurer can be asked for a second look or a re-inspection, and our documentation gives that request something to stand on. The decision stays with your insurance company, but you will not be going in empty-handed.

What does a new roof cost, and what moves the price?

The price depends on roof size, pitch, the number of layers coming off, how much decking needs replacing and the material you pick. Complicated roofs with lots of valleys and penetrations take more labor. We measure, photograph and give you an itemized quote so you can see where every dollar goes.

What is recoverable depreciation, and when does it get paid?

On a replacement cost policy, the insurer often pays the depreciated value first and holds back the rest. That held-back amount is recoverable depreciation. Once the work is finished and the final invoice and completion paperwork go to the insurer, they release it according to your policy terms.

Is a metal roof worth the extra money?

It can be, if you plan to stay in the house a long time. Metal costs more up front but handles wind well, sheds water fast and needs little upkeep. If you are selling in a few years, architectural shingles usually make more sense. We will lay out both on one quote so you can compare.

Roofers Who Show Their Work

Roofing Brookhaven runs on one rule: if we say it is damaged, we can show you the picture. That goes for storm claims, full replacements and small repairs alike. You get photos, a written quote, a crew that installs to spec and a yard cleaner than we found it.
